- Your recipe content and questions are sent to the AI service for processing
- Uploaded images and documents are processed to extract recipe information
- AI interactions are not stored or used to train AI models
- AI responses are filtered to be family-friendly and cooking-related only

We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared in these ways:
- With your friends: Your recipes, reviews, badges, and timeline activity are visible to your connections
- Public profiles: Your profile (name, username, bio, badges) is visible to other users
- Service providers: We use AWS for hosting, image storage (S3), and AI features (Bedrock)
- Google: Authentication is handled through Google OAuth
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how the app is used
6. Data Storage & Security
- Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS
- Images are stored in Amazon S3
- All connections use HTTPS encryption
- Passwords are not stored — authentication is handled by Google
7. Children's Privacy
Cook to Impress is designed for families including children. We are committed to protecting children's privacy:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent
- Children should use the app under parental supervision
- The social features (timeline, reviews, profiles) are designed to be shared with family and friends only
- AI features have guardrails to ensure all content is family-friendly
